Coast&Kayak Magazine's series of six fold-out maps is designed to give the best scale and overview of each region for use in the living room to plan the trip and on the water to get your bearings. While printed on hardy stock, they are not waterproof so be sure to keep in a protected chart case when on the water. Each map is 22x36 inches and folds to 4x11 for handy storage. All are designed with kayakers in mind and include handy references not included with charts such as campsites, launch locations and scenic features. See the map above to locate the map appropriate for the area you want to explore.

Paddlers journey along the boundaries between sea, air and land. Volume 1 of the Freedom of the Seas series contains an important slice of paddling knowledge regarding these boundaries — information about navigation, sea state and weather. We have combined these three knowledge sets into one book for a simple reason: on the water, they are inseparable. Freedom of the Seas, Volume 1 is intended as a reference for kayakers and canoeists touring large bodies of water. This book is written from a Canadian perspective. The examples in this book are drawn from across Canada, but the lessons can be applied anywhere in the world.

BC Marine Parks Forever Society is making copies of the BC Marine Parks Guide available as a fundraiser for the BC Marine Parks system. "As population increases and urban areas expand, land is lost to the public. The Society plays an active role in ensuring more marine parkland is available by providing technical input and funds to encourage various levels of government to purchase suitable properties for marine parks."
