Cover, Summer 2011 Coast&Kayak MagazineCoast&Kayak Magazine is marking its official 20th birthday issue with something epic: a free kayak in every issue, with complete plans and materials included. You can build your own faux cedar kayak, with a supporting video on how it's done in Coast&Kayak's multimedia edition online.

It's part of a historic issue that includes detailed coverage of the new BC Marine Trail, which will be announced this Saturday at the Vancouver Island Paddlefest in Ladysmith. Be part of the historic flotilla that will converge on Transfer Beach for the official announcement to open the trail. For details on the flotilla, visit www.bcmarinetrails.org. In addition, Coast&Kayak Magazine (formerly Coast&Kayak Magazine) will be on hand with a special cake marking both the magazine's birthday and the birth of the marine trail, destined to become the world's largest.

The multimedia edition includes three supporting videos: how to build your own faux cedar kayak; the side entry; and a preview of the new Seaward Ascente X3.
