Web Paddling: Hot Off the Press

October-November 2000

This is an article from WaveLength Magazine, available in print in North America and globally on the web.

In most of my endeavours, books have played a very large part. From building a house without knowing one end of a hammer from another, to the present, where I work in the ever-changing, fast-paced world of the internet, the written word has been vital to me.

So it has been a particular pleasure to create the Book Review pages in the Paddling Resources area of our web site (www.WaveLengthMagazine.com/books. htm). Here you will find WaveLength reviews of the best paddling related books available.

Now I have taken this one step further, linking most of these books to two of the quality on-line booksellers on the web. Just click on Chapters.ca or Amazon.com and you will be whisked to their site, where you can read more info or buy the book you wish.

If you do decide to buy a book by going from our site, WaveLength will receive a small commission, which helps us remain a free paddling resource.

With Christmas just around the corner, you may know an avid paddler-or someone just beginning-who would appreciate one of these books. If so, check out this area of the site.

Thanks to all who responded to last month's Paddling Partners article by joining the list .

For your information, the WaveLength site is now over 750 pages in size, jam-packed with information on paddling. Join the hordes of paddlers from around the world who visit our site every month.

Be sure to call the WaveLength office or email me to add your presence to our site.
