Kayaking in Paradise

Two years ago, former BC Marine Trail Association Executive Director Peter McGee along with Greg Rasmussen, Grant Thompson, and Neil GregoryEaves launched into the icy waters of Alaska, for a three-month paddle down the BC coast to Vancouver. In between, they paddled near remote heritage sites in the Queen Charlotte Islands, caught giant salmon from their kayaks, and camped at the edge of old-growth rainforests.

With amazing colour photographs and intimate first person vignettes, this book leads the reader through the adventure. Discover the thrill of paddling near a pod of orcas, or the danger of the first step onto a giant iceberg. Experience the excitement of riding the swells off Long Beach. Chat with a longtime resident of an isolated coastal community or explore the rusting remains of a shipwreck off Cape Caution. The book is a fascinating and tempting glimpse into the coastal landscape.
