Attention Recreational Clubs:
Cash Grants
December 1997 - January 1998
This is an article from WaveLength Magazine, available in print in North America and globally on the web.
Wouldn't it be nice to receive a subsidy for your club newsletter, or money to put towards a boat acquisition program or pool time? You now have the opportunity to win a $200 grant from TO'KI, The Ocean Kayak Institute.
All entrants will have an opportunity to review the course offerings of the other clubs entering the contest, and even to vote for the ones which have the best programs.
There are only three things you need to send in order to start the process:
-
your non-profit society number
-
a summary of your sea kayaking courses with dates endorsed by the club executive
-
a photocopy or copy of the newsletter advertising the course
Once all submissions have been received, we will send out copies of all the summaries to all entrants, asking you to rate them in terms of 1st, 2nd, or 3rd.
All submissions must be post marked no latter than October 31st, 1998 to qualify. First place will receive the $200 grant. Second and third place clubs will receive a $50 grant each.
For more information contact toki@islandnet.com, or write TO'KI, c/o Grant program, 1919 Billings Rd, Sooke, B.C, V0S 1N0.
Good luck to everyone.
